Hey there, thank ya kindly :) I honestly have no idea how that's happening to you, maybe Youtube improved their copyright sensors? Or it could depend on what you're uploading, I guess they are to sense watermarked episodes more likely. In case it keeps happening I'd give you a little tip: before uploading, modify the file name in 'Properties', and if that doesn't work you could try mirroring the episodes.

Oh yeah, I should have put it a little differently :P The actual episode aired on March 3rd but most of the time I won't be able to upload it until 2 or 3 days after. If you really want to see it now you should do a search on Youtube, the 1080p should be still available, but with watermarks.
Thanks for letting me know :) I actually found out earlier today, but my internet connection didn't feel like being fast, and I'm out all weekend, so I'll try to have it up soon, together with the episode that aired today.
They were really awesome! I stayed with some fellow Dutch bronies for the night, and we even watched both episodes twice :D I also just adore the songs, it adds a very Disney-like touch to the episodes. And I can't tell anything yet for sure about when I'll be able to upload them, it's also always a surprise to me.
Surprise? haha. I almost had the same experience compared to yours. Hopefully you didn't start tearing up at the end. Just throwing this out, there's a split version with a credits break, and a full just about 45 min. version with no credits break. So if your like looking for whatever, Eh.
Soon enough, I promise! I just gotta find someone who made a pair of subtitles for the iTunes 1080p episodes (although I don't think they should differ from 720p) If it takes too long I might just start working on them myself.

Yeah... Hasbro is starting to take these issues a little more serious. But I can't blame them, they are merely defending their rights. Either way, my first concerns don't go out to the episodes I uploaded on Youtube. They will always find a better way to protect their website from users trying to upload copyrighted material. Doesn't mean I won't get to re-uploading the episodes though :D But for the time being you could just as well download them directly.
I have indeed considered this, but I'm afraid it will take up too much HDD space. It would also take quite some time converting all the episodes from MKV to AVI, not to speak of how it will most likely affect the quality in a most negative way :P Thanks for the interest though! If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Another possibility would be to remove the option to download them individually and instead offer to download them in full seasons, in rars. It would already save up a lot of space, but I'm not sure if people are going to like that. Downloading a full season may take up a whole day since my server is not a gigantic dedicated server or anything. Oh well, I guess I could set up a poll.
I like making pony videos with the episodes you post, but since you started using MKV i've had to convert them to MP4's because my editing software doesn't like MKV.
It's just a minor inconvenience, but i wonder if MP4 is better than AVI in terms of space? If it isn't and MKV is the best way to have them then i don't mind, I'll just do what I've been doing.
I can't tell for sure, but I think MP4's are better in quality than AVI's, which means they'll also take up more space. However, MKV beats both of them in quality because they are raw files, directly ripped from the iTunes store which offers them in M3V. I'm not sure why it's better, but I believe it had something to do with the codecs being more similar.

Watermarks are things like the Hub logo and its advertisements. There's also the giant black boxes with TVY and CC in them which appear at the start of every episode and after every commercial break. Technically they're not watermarks, but I still hate them!
Marco! Big problem! Hasbro has found out about your videos and has taken action against those episodes that you uploaded to Youtube! You need to reupload them!
It's because of ContentID, all videos that contain content from My little pony friendship is magic episodes, will get blocked worldwide if uploaded to Youtube. Videos that's already uploaded will also get blocked. Some 'Pony uploaders,' have zoomed in on each episode, to avoid getting discovered by ContentID.
But there is still hope, Dailymotion is growing to be the new 'Youtube' for ponies :)
What Q2SA said, indeed. Youtube is getting better and better at recognizing copyrighted videos thanks to their ContentID system. But thanks for telling me! I'll have a look at DailyMotion and see what I can do :) Until then, I hope you don't mind downloading the episodes or finding another source to watch them from.
One more thing... (I wish Blogger allowed you to edit your own posts) Does DailyMotion accept MKV video files? Else I'd have to convert all the episode formats, and that would take forever :(

It has 4 slightly different edited versions of "Feeling Pinkie Keen", and an edited version of the highly controversial "The Mysterious Mare Do Well". As stated above, they're experimental edits, so I highly recommend that you check them out and tell me if I did a good job with them. ;)
Well, the edited version of "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" is intended to make the actions of Rainbow Dash's friends seem less questionable, and the 4 edited versions of "Feeling Pinkie Keen" attempt to put Twilight in a more sympathetic light.

Will do! I might be a bit slow sometimes, but the rest of season 9 should be manageable :) At the moment the best thing to do is using Dropbox's quality option where you can switch it to 720p, 420p and 360p, if you are using it to stream the episode. Unfortunately I don't have a better way for now.

I've only been downloading the videos first, even re-downloading this specific video twice to see if it didn't download properly on my end. I have also only experiencing my freeze point for that specific video to be at 0:28:18 when watching. Alright, seems everything is done for now. The page layout has been updated and the missing subtitle links were added. Unfortunately I'm still missing some of the HoH section for S1 and S2, so if anyone knows where to find that I'd appreciate it! The SRT ones? You can use any text editor, such as Notepad. That's only if you want to edit it though. If you want to use it as subtitles you have to link it with the video from within your video player. I know VLC links them automatically if they have the same name and are in the same folder.

Most things are available in 1080p I think so each episode is probably close to 1GB, but it really differs in shorts and movies, but feel free to do the calculations :D And don't you worry about that, it's a show that can be enjoyed by any age group. I'm a few years older than you, and most fans seem to be in their 10s or 20s, but I've also met plenty people in their 30s and above. It just depends on how open someone is to trying the show without immediately brushing it off as a little girl's cartoon :D but as you get older you will probably realize that you don't care what others think. There are always enough people who accept you for who you are and what you like, even if it can be hard to see sometimes :)

So i can say that for everything you need around 207 GB quite a lot i have to say... Anyways i just wanted to thank you for uploading them.

It has 4 slightly different edited versions of "Feeling Pinkie Keen", and an edited version of the highly controversial "The Mysterious Mare Do Well". As stated above, they're experimental edits, so I highly recommend that you check them out and tell me if I did a good job with them. ;)

DeleteAt the moment the best thing to do is using Dropbox's quality option where you can switch it to 720p, 420p and 360p, if you are using it to stream the episode. Unfortunately I don't have a better way for now.

I've only been downloading the videos first, even re-downloading this specific video twice to see if it didn't download properly on my end. I have also only experiencing my freeze point for that specific video to be at 0:28:18 when watching. Downloading the film from this link that you provided did fix my issue and I thank you for taking the time to do so.

How do i open STR files?
ReplyDeleteThe SRT ones? You can use any text editor, such as Notepad. That's only if you want to edit it though. If you want to use it as subtitles you have to link it with the video from within your video player. I know VLC links them automatically if they have the same name and are in the same folder.

DeleteYou mean size as in amount of GB of TB of everything together? Honestly not sure. Most things are available in 1080p I think so each episode is probably close to 1GB, but it really differs in shorts and movies, but feel free to do the calculations :D
And don't you worry about that, it's a show that can be enjoyed by any age group. I'm a few years older than you, and most fans seem to be in their 10s or 20s, but I've also met plenty people in their 30s and above. It just depends on how open someone is to trying the show without immediately brushing it off as a little girl's cartoon :D but as you get older you will probably realize that you don't care what others think. There are always enough people who accept you for who you are and what you like, even if it can be hard to see sometimes :)
